Plura

The Plurasystem is situated by the Jordbru farm in Plurdalen in Rana muncipality. The river of the valley disappears in the huge collaps called Trollkjærka(The Troll Church) and reappears in the pond near the farm. Plura is the largest waterfilled cave in Norway, and location of the annual Pluraweek gathering earlier known as Week 33.

Diving

Plura offers diving on all levels. Divers without training for caves may enjoy the pond, or perhaps visit the cavernzone guided by an experienced cave diver. Fresh cave divers have several nice places to visit near the entrance. With some cave diving experience a 450m swim to the air chamber or the many nice side passages may tempt. Diving beyond the air chamber should be reserved for the more experienced cave divers.
